The only other issue I had with using them is to use ex-Aus for a F sector (you all can guess what I'm talking about :) ) I had to call QF since it's not offered online via flight lookup, but they did that in about 90 seconds no question, no fees and very happy to help. They also noted they COULD be used for origins outside of oz, but you had to call QF to do it, as the vouchers are priced in AUD and it's too hard online to do the conversions or whatnot, but it is possible.

But as the terms and conditions say they can't be, Red Roo is unlikely to confirm.
