Enrolled in QF fare watch and had 3 alerts for a price return from Perth to Sydney for $746 , click on “ buy this flight” and comes up with a dropdown timetable etc etc, and at checkout keeps coming up with a price Aprox $ 200 more, the same price when I went onto QF bookings yesterday, am I doing something wrong, tried it 3 times, thanks in advance.

As an aside, when did $746 PER-SYD rtn become a 'good price' that I would want to book (except possibly on the day or two before departure)?

I try to get PER-East Coast flights for under $400 rtn where possible and rarely pay more than $500 rtn when booked in advance (unless upgrading to J where I select a higher fare grouping).

The best QF price for December 22 return Jan 4 is $900 + yet on price Watch is $700 Plus, but when you go to book it comes up with the $900 + price, my personal opinion this is VERY misleading, am I missing something ?

You are trying to book ultra peak this close to departure. No wonder you are paying so much....

Options were as follows when I checked. The cheapest outbound is not a direct flight which is the trick to getting the fares quoted by QF.

On the dates required at $735 + some possible extra JQ costs -

Return a day later at $759 all on QF -

It would appear that you can get what QF has quoted (in round figures) and therefore may not be misleading at all...
