QF DOM Y Dinner 'enhanced' to a footy pie?

I wish they would get rid of VB and Heineken from City Flyer flights and bring in Pure Blonde and Crown Lager which is served in the QF Pub! The price of these is the same as a carton of Heineken! After a few drinks in the QF pub, its difficult to stomach a warm VB on board!

Heineken FTW!
I find it good because I usually drive after a flight, at 1.2/1.3 standard drinks I feel confident of being under the limit.

And to think I helped get you into the Cairns lounge 3 years ago. :p :D

Has anyone actually emailed QF and received a response about these enhancements ?

Yes, I have emailed QF. I told them how much I enjoyed the beef pie with potatoes and peas, rather than the usual inedible curry or pasta. It is an Australian airline after all.

And I enjoyed washing it down with a VB or three.

That is typical in Canberra - even flying J and SG/WP you only get your bags out in some rational fashion about 50% of the time. I know there are a lot of WPs and higher in Canberra but still......

I had checked luggage to Canberra last week for the first time in about 300 domestic flights. I proactively solved the problem by having a beer on arrival in the QF J lounge. When I got to the carousel there were 3 bags going around. Just mine and my two collegues. That's what I call priority baggage :!:

Not sure what this has to do with footy pies though.

No, priority baggage is going to the J lounge and having beers/dinner, then them calling you to let you know your bag is waiting for collection!

I miss the curry!

I have never had an issue with priority baggage either. Most times I get personal phone calls letting me know my baggage is ready for colletion. :p

It looks like the footy pie is no longer being offered as dinner.

Flew SYD-ADL last Friday and I was served a relatively nice (although slightly oily) hot dinner of Braised Chicken in Garlic and Shallot with Rice and steamed Chinese Broccoli.

Just did a SYD to BNE on Monday night (delayed) but the tray was served (dinner + roll + 'dessert'). I didnt have it so can't comment on the quality, but at least it was there!!

The good old 'curry' returned on my MEL-SYD flight last weekend ;)

Receiveda voice mail yesterday, apologising for the pie and that my complaint will bepassed on to the catering team. Not really what I was after, seems like a bitof a cop out.

Out of curiosity, what resolution were you after?

IMO, that's a fair response from QF given that 'normal' hot dinners have returned from last weekend.

I don't know, probably a commitment that it won't happen again or that they have forwarded the complaint to the strategy team... But it is Qantas, so probably should be thankful that I was at least given a phone call..

There is only so much that can be left on a voicemail message (especially those Telstra 10 second message to text service)!

I'd consider it lucky you even got a phone call

While the "feedback" will likely go nowhere at least they called you
