According to QF's online route maps, it should be possible to fly codeshare with QF from Australia to Siem Reap (REP). Apparently the QF codeshares flight numbers come up in QF's system at the call centre but no one there was able to book SYD-BKK-REP. I'll be in BKK, and I want to take the family to Cambodia, and using points plus pay would be nice as I have PLENTY of points to burn.

The lovely lady at QF has promised to look into it and call me this week, but I was wondering if anyone has had luck booking BKK-REP with Qantas as part of an Australian itinerary.

Definitely possible, just looked it up on SABRE. Go to a travel agent if you can't get any joy with Qantas. Not all that cheap, current O class return is about $1297 all up

edit: there is another fare for about $1000 but it wouldn't auto price, i didn't go into it much further though

If you put in SYD-REP in the Qantas search engine the QF codeshare flights on Bangkok Airways are available. Airfare is not cheap but you can get it down to 162,000 QFF points all in with Points+Pay and a Platinum earns 12,000 QFF points.

Or go qf direct to HKG and then KA to REP and get points. At least to HKG you may have a 747-400 :-)

But you get also points with the QF codeshare on Bangkok Airways BKK-REP.

Although the 747 would win me over if the price was right.
