QF cheap fares SYD-LAX/DFW/JFK today

FWIW I have just purchased some cheap USA fares for early 2016. I think they're still online as at 3.40pm 23/10/15 on the QF website. I payed $1099 return for QF 11/12 and $1299 return for QF 7/8.

Also note they are valid over the April School Holidays as well, which is quite rare for their cheapest offerings

They just had SYD-JFK J for $3500 ($7000 return) or thereabouts on QF7/8. Pity I'm not going to New York.
