Apparently the baggage conveyor belt is broken so passengers checking in tonight have to carry their check in bags down to the end part normally used for oversized etc!

It's a plot by the airlines to reduce the trend toward obesity. as a consequence they reduce their fuel burn as the passengers all gradually lose weight and get fitter

I've had to do this before at Melbourne Airport before - actually it was after the Grand Prix so was kaos with piles and oiles of bags and it was up to the passenger to put their bag in the pile with their flight number!

Wow, I must have gotten lucky because it was all ok when I checked in for the 6:50 ADL-SYD.

A little off topic, ADL's QP was the first time in a long while where I was asked to show my boarding pass upon entry.

In Syd and Mel I usually just show my QP card. I think it was the same at Gold Coast too. I can only ever remember having to produce my QP card and Boarding Pass at International QP's.
