G'day all,
I'm planning for some much needed break in New Caledonia in October.
SYD-NOU classic award flights are quite rare in Economy I found. So far my options are:
Classic award for 50K points + $367: SYD-NOU business on QF91, NOU-SYD economy on QF92.
ASA award for 92K points: Economy both ways.

I'm leaning towards the ASA as I don't like spending the $367 in cash, but I wonder if the business service is any good on the SYD-NOU flight QF91 - if it is, maybe it would be worth a try. Anyone tried it yet?
Cheers.

After lurking for a while, my first post/reply!

QF91 business is... fine. More regional business (it's a 737, I think) style, certainly not an international angled/lie flat bed! But recently they've put one of the 'upgraded interior' planes on the route. Only you can decide whether 3+ hrs in greater comfort (and better food/drink/service/lounge access?) than economy is worth the extra cash one way - but SYD-NOU is generally the slightly longer leg time-wise.

Cheers
