First up would like to thank Qantas staff for putting us in JK 38 as we were split up when first booked (QPNB ) It is the first in 40 years of flying that I have had to take the plastic off the blanket when speaking to the FA's they said it only seemed to be Row 37 to 39 and that their galley was freezing.

Found the FA's on both legs great The only gripe was the amen pack nothing to singapore then toothbrush and eye mask to London Has anyone else has this happen to them ? At present in Val d'Isere skiing for a month and have Row 36 on way home so will see if it's warmer

I find that seats near exit doors, F and J are often colder than packed Y seats as, obviously, the human generated heat is less.

If flying an exit row I do take a thick pair of socks and a spare jumper as I know that with leg space comes a little frost.

You may find that asking the FA to turn the heat up a little may help as I assume the A380 has zoned AC controls.

All I can say is that a cold cabin is better than a warm (i.e. non-airconditioned) one! So rug up or ask for an extra blanket if need be.

Exit rows always tend to be a bit colder than non-exit rows.

As you can see, amenity packs in Y is nothing much to write home about.

I have found when I have flown on the SIA A380 on the upper deck I have been nice and warm in the exit rows, no problems what so ever.

I didn't get one on my last QF31 SYD-SIN, but maybe they only give them on the overnight sectors.

That has been the norm for a few years. Amenity packs are given out on all long distance flights flights in J and F. In Y and Y+ only on the longer flights, think 12+ hours. Same with snack on Q too.
