My QC is up for renewal and I have it originally through my prevoius employer, the Department of Industry. On the renewal page it asks me for the scheme number, which I now don't know as I didn't write it down when I left, but I'd love to somehow to be able to still stay on the same scheme. I've found other random scheme numbers online which I've tried to enter but it says they aren't correct, so it must match it to my original scheme number.

Is there a work around? Second to asking if anyone knows the scheme number of course.

If you are a Gold Member of AFF you can access the Qantas Club scheme here. AFF Membership Levels
You can probably just switch over schemes. May have to call.

If you stay on the old scheme you risk the old program admins cancelling your membership i believe.

In any case I think it’s a WoAG scheme now (whole of Australian government).

You should not be using a scheme number from a former employer, even if you knew what it was.

OK thanks for the comments everyone. I know I shouldn't be really using a previous employers scheme number, but I can't really afford the full cost of the membership.

For a bit extra join here as a Gold member and then get access to the AFF scheme.
Or maybe get the ANZ Qantas Black card which is free for the first year. Comes with discounted QC membership rates. $400 a year if i recall.
I dont know what the AFF rate is it could work out better with that.

I've always thought, if you don't fly often enough to earn Qantas Gold - you probably aren't flying enough to make the most of your Qantas Club membership.

Nowadays the quality has gone downhill rapidly. It's a nice perk for FFs but I could never imagine paying for it like I used to.

It is a lot more reasonable in price with a corporate scheme membership number. But there is just no excuse for stealing such a code. I'd suggest a life ban from QC for those caught do this. It is fraud.

Just keep in mind that the lounge isn't the sole perk to QP membership.
