Hi all!
Flying from Europe via Hong kong. Two seperate tickets booked via velocity (tried to call velocity to book as a multi city itinerary but they were utterly unhelpful)

Hkg -> Doha in first class
Then onwards from Doha to Zurich in business

There is about an 8 hour layover between (same day) I have a few questions from people who may have experience in a similar situation.
1. Has anyone had luck getting the PNRs linked via Qatar or baggage checked through (to avoid having to check in again and clear customs)
2. Will I be able to access the Al safwa lounge if I present my incoming first class boarding pass

Cheers

Sorry but this doesn't answer your question, but I thought I would add in my experience here, might be helpful to others in a similar situation:

I made a multi-city rewards booking just today. Like you called the contact centre, no luck there - they were... hopeless to put it nicely.
I decided to try the live chat option - provided the agent with the exact flights, flight numbers, dates and times and he was able to put all the flights on a single itinerary for me.
I'm not sure if this is an option for revenue flights.

This entire situation would be prevented if VA could actually do a multi-city booking like Qantas does. Until then, try the live chat and see if they can make it work.
