Not sure if you’re being factitious or not, but obviously all the chaos that ensued when Qatar closed its airspace due to incoming Iranian missiles.

If you look at some of the very many facebook page comments of actual experience by effected passengers on some routes its a very different picture.

Valid to complain but step back and appreciate what they actually did to minimise the disruption.

Actually, the entire context here has been lost, guys. This was originally posted on another area of the forum, with a very tongue in cheek intent towards a certain Australian carrier. Despite me putting a post under this one at the top of the thread (also removed) it would seem I fell foul of at least one mod who didn't like certain Quantifiable Factions being downtrodden.

For a carrier this size, you will always get those upset, and there will always be people in the chain be it third party contractors or new staff etc, that make these moments even more chaotic for pax.

Overall, considering their size and reach, I think they have done a good job. I know one person trying to get back from Europe on the closure day, they gave some dates and flights the following week and they got them all no questions asked.

Now I have been through hell and back in prior times with QF, JQ and even VA when trying to reschedule due to cancellations. I got what I wanted with QF but they made it out like they are doing me a huge favour! Seems to be the common attitude with the local players.
