Qatar Airways returns to Canberra in December 2025

I did a dummy booking for CBR to DOH on 2 December 2025 and it worked.

The flight to DOH includes a 2 hour 25 minutes layover at MEL.

Do they run with a reduced cabin crew on these flights? I mean, pax numbers generally never go above 30.

When I flew Adl-Mel-Doh in late May, there were at most 20 pax on the Adl-Mel sector (and there were more FAs than pax!) but the plane was almost full from Mel to Doh. The 1 hr 45 min stop in Mel allowed a nice lunch in the Mel Qf F lounge

Qatar Airways has resumed flights to and from CBR.

The first flight of QR988 into CBR landed late (arrived MEL on time, departed MEL late) 20 mins ago.

Looks like they aren't using set aircraft for the VA wet leases. This aircraft (A7-BEV) operated VA1 a week ago and has since been to GRU, LHR, IAD and MEL before this current DOH-MEL-CBR-MEL-DOH rotation.

I think I saw that mentioned when the agreement was announced. I also remember an article that said the VA wet leases would all be on QSuite aircraft and come with Starlink
