Hi all.
I've made what the wife is referring to as a 'rookie error', and booked a J flight MEL-DOH on QR.
She's still looking down her nose at the zero alcohol policy - but before I disappear down the rabbit hole of trying to book any alternatives (as OW award seats...) I wondered what the current accepted wisdom is about the overall QR experience in J, both the flights themselves & the lounges.
Any comments?

Thanks in advance.

I didn't think there was a zero alcohol policy on Qatar Airways? Or are you talking about Qatar itself?

I think the reference is to Qatar in general, however that is not to say alcohol isn't available if you know where to look.

Just Google Qatar business class trip report, plenty of reviews of service (which includes alcohol) available.

Hi All - thanks for all your helpful responses.
I'm ready to call it Case Closed on this one.
By co-incidence, I ran into a friend at a party today who had flown QR a couple of weeks ago, and he was able to confirm that he was served alcohol (in Y) on QR on the MEL-DOH run.
Regards,
