Just had an interesting thing occur. My wife is booking a red-e-deal Broome to Townsville flight, via PER and BNE. 2 legs, BME-PER and BNE-TSV are Qantaslink - with QF codes as always.

The thing of interest here is that the flight is showing as only earning 20SC, which is the earn rate for PER-BNE at discount economy. Also different FF points and SC earn ( More ) if she changes to slightly later BNE-TSV leg which is QF not QLINK.

Have QF just changed the goal posts again or just a glitch?

I've been travelling BNE-TSV on QLINK for quite a while now and have always got SCs. I sincerely hope this hasn't been "enhanced"

QF link SC aren’t showing correctly in the booking engine at the moment.

Thanks blackcat, very glitchy system of late apparently

That has been my experience too looking at flights in the past week where QFLink is in the mix. If all QF or all QFLink flights then it displays correctly.

Has Qantas confirmed this is definitely a glitch and not a rule change?

Just a glitch. All QantasLink flights are sold as Qantas marketed (ie QF flight numbers) and therefore have the same earn rates as mainline. They do not sell under the operating airline (ie Sunstate, Eastern Australia etc). So for earning purposes the system won’t even distinguish between mainline and QantasLink, assuming you have the correct fare buckets.

It's still happening, I booked a couple of J flights yesterday to NZ and the Qlink flights still don't get added in, discount J to AKL ex TSV is 120SC, but shows as 80 when booking - doesn't add in the 40 Qlink.

I certainly haven't had any trouble with my Qlink SCs crediting after actually flying them.

Agree it’s just a glitch. Took QFlink flight into SYD last week and onto AKL. All points and SC had posted correctly while still boarding in SYD.
