Qantas Wine latest offering

Looking for suggestions (likely final) green tier wine with $50 voucher, Points Club only.
Haven't had it but just ordered this:

With $50 voucher it brings the total cost down to $49 for a single bottle netting 3147 points thanks to the bonus (1.56 cents per point) and a green leaf.

I think you mean $0.015 per point … $1.5 per point would mean 24,000 points cost $36,000!!
shut up and take my money GIF

Oops! Yes, you're right haha definitely not $1.5 per point :D

This is one of their better deals, and stock didn't last long. I managed to stag a few cases, and sweetened the deal with a wine voucher!

I think that was “enhanced” a while back. Not sure you can even sort on price now?
They took this away ages ago- you used to be able to sort by “price per bottle”. That was removed on purpose, quite obviously .

I don't see a lot of point in buying Qantas wine now that Points Club is dead. I'm already qualified PC+ until it's death, later this year.

Did Qantas shoot off its little toe?

I’m on the home straight to PC+ for the first time. Already PC until mid next year but figured the extra SCs could be handy if the WP requal bar resets during our member year!

If you’re P1 (or even WP) with access to J seat releases, there’s only so many points the average person can earn through normal methods, so it’s a good way to get more points cheaply.

I wanted to fly SYD-LAS return on the inaugural service but cash fare was over 12K, got seats released and decided to turn it into a OWA instead, which will also allow a SYD-LAX trip in the same ticket - if I fund purely from wine that brings the LAS trip down to $3200 return (in J) plus $1200ish fees.

I see it similar to the BA avios subscription, only with added wine.

I am planning on stocking up on wine shortly after my membership year ends 31 Jul - so at least in the short term I don't think Qantas have made a mistake. Long term, who knows?
