Just got my monthly on-line statement.

Included in it was this breathless advice:

Tip of the Month
Did you know you can earn Qantas Points and Status credits on all eligible1 Qantas flights.

Golly! Wow! Wahoo!! Who would have thought it? I can earn points and SCs on ALL flights where .... the flight are eligible to earn me points and SCs.

Obviously QF are paying their marketing people the real big bucks for such rapier like insights and marketing breakthroughs.

I received the same "tip" - I think it's a standard email for each month. How hard would it be to have tier-targeted tips?

Had to laugh - how do you think I got Platinum status without knowing the full Terms and Conditions, let alone one single and obvious aspect?!

Oh I see Qantas' tip of the month.

:p

Wow! This really makes up for the otherwise declining service :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

This is clearly the first communiqué from the new owners of the soon to be hived off QFF program - what does it take to make you Qantasites happy? :D

Of course!

Maybe we should help Qantas in its tip generation - after all, tips from its customers should be universally useful.

Here are 2 of mine I expect to see in a QF newsletter soon:

* When travelling international Y or J, snork up everything that's offered to eat initially, 'cause there probably won't be anything left later

* When phoning up for a MASA, read AFF first, because chances are our phone agent won't know what you are talking about

Not sure that's fair any more - they do really seem to know what they are doing and when it is new to them, they happily admit that and work through it.

I'll go you half way on that.

They are getting better but still have a long way to go at this time. That being the case I believe the original comment still stands as the only reason they are getting better is because the AFF people, rather than Qantas, are gradually training them.

aha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, OMG, what a joke, they obviously are referring to the Cafe Breakfast ex-Asia. It's famous alright, or rather infamous, for being ****.

Tip of the month: "Take the healthy choice with QANTAS breakfast muffin or nothing at all!"
