Qantas temporarily grounds six aircraft

Qantas will temporarily pull six aircraft from service after discovering an irregularity with paperwork during a routine check.

In a statement released, the airline said it would remove the six B737-400s from service while it cross-checked maintenance records relating to work carried out at one of its Australian facilities

If it had been at one of the overseas facilities I am sure we would have been reading a vastly different story.

One would assume that this was a fairly common occurrence for most large airlines. Finding it a little hard to see the wood for the trees in news around QF at the moment.

Correct, just look at the AA MD80 cable tie directive... to many others to mention but this one stands out. Southwest also had something like this as well but can't remember exactly what it related to.
