Qantas SYD-HNL route to become QF103/104

Wow I remember flying on some of these flight numbers since but on a different routing:
QF15 SIN-LHR (which originated from PER)
QF25 MEL-AKL (which also continued on to LAX)
QF25 SYD-HND
QF29 MEL-HKG-LHR
QF35 MEL-SIN
QF36 SIN-MEL

Many moons ago:

QF 25/26 SYD/BNE/POM v.v
QF 29/30 SYD/DPS/JKT v.v
QF 33/34 MEL/AKL v.v
QF 35/36 MEL/CHC v.v
QF 37/38 MEL/WLG v.v

OT, is there a definition of what is now considered to be ULH, has it changed? With the likes of PER-LHR, SIN-JFK, SYD-DFW and others these are long flights, are flights such as SIN-LHR, HKG-LHR (or LAX) now just considered to be LH (long haul not the airline code)

Ultra long haul is any flight over 16 hours.

I think SYD-LAX is 14 hours and from memory something like LHR-HKG is 12 hours and I think both are too long to be just considered long haul flights. These are really long flights.

I wonder if this is to free up the QF3/4 flight numbers for future Project Sunrise flights?

I think I'll change my mind, any 12 hour flight in economy is a long haul...

Yeah i remember that very well. We flew QF 3 to HNL by B743 and then transfered to Canadian Airlines to YVR by DC10. We arrived HNL at about 10pm and then departed at 1am to YVR. I was really excited to fly with QF 3 becauase it was my first time to fly on one value number. lol
