Qantas sues union over 'false claims' | News.com.au

Ok, I know it's nonews that's publishing this, that said, I wonder if this is the beginning of QF actually protecting it's brand?

of interest is

Qantas subsequently said its Easter flights were not affected by the industrial action and it was disappointed that the union and its advisers continued to undermine confidence in the airline.

I assume most people aren't on the mailing list for press releases from the union. So as well as looking at the unions, if Qantas is serious about brand protection it should also look at any intermediary parties who eagerly assist in the spreading of "false and misleading claims".

Your right, most people aren't on the direct mailing list for the unions, but union officials are quite often seen speaking to media outlets, whom can and do affect people's travel plans.
