Qantas SCs on US Air oneworld award flights?

Hey guys,

I have to travel to the States mid-2015 for a buck's weekend and would love to do it in comfort and on the cheap if possible. The US Dividend Miles program looks appealing at the moment with its 100% points match deal, but I'm not sure whether booking Qantas/oneworld flights using their miles allows me to get SCs through the QFF program.

Can anyone confirm whether this is or isn't the case? It's not a dealbreaker by any means, but if I can get SCs from a return business trip from Sydney then it would be a pretty amazing bonus in addition to the low flight costs!

Flights booked using miles will not earn points or SCs.

Especially using miles from another FF program.

Wouldn't it be nice if you got the same SCs and QFF points for an ~AUD1000 US Dividend miles redemption as you did for a ~$10000 QF retail airfare?

Any Seat award anyone?
