Qantas Restaurants is back!

Has anyone worked out if there is a way to get points without booking online. We go to a cafe regularly that is on this list and it would be good not to have to book online

I'd suggest diddly squat chance, but it would be great if you could just show your QFF card and that counts.

i really miss the points I used to earn with Dimmi. Once again I have tried to book a table at one of Canberra’s excellent restaurant and once again not possible to book one of the top restaurants. The restaurants all seem o cafe type lunch places.

Hoping that a Quandoo representative might read this page I thought I would say that I, and I am sure many others, would love to use your booking service if we could book the restaurants we want!

Once gin I have tried to book the restaurants that we want to go to and once gain no luck. All can be booked through The Fork formally Dimmi. It is. great shame as I used to get many points booking restaurants.

Haven't had much local dining lately, but work lunch yesterday I booked (first time I'd used Quandoo) and 1200 points arrived today. When booking, the selection is incredibly large which. I've said up thread that Melbourne has been more than sufficiently covered but I wonder whether those that thought there was a low selection have altered their view.

This is what I found (which includes suburbs):
  • Melbourne - 1538 selections
  • Sydney - 1350
  • Adelaide - 268
  • Canberra - 19 (yes that may not be so good)
  • Brisbane - 539
  • Perth - 12 (challenges there)
  • Hobart - 45.

I queried a few of my bookings with Quandoo as the points didn't arrive. Was told I had booked them from my mobile and they didn't qualify.

I'm in Melbourne and have found the restaurant selection to be a little lame. Stick to thefork for now!

I note Melbourne is now up to 1543 options on Quandoo and TheFork is 1163. Perhaps it is the type of restaurants you see a difference - I would be interested to know your thoughts. I haven't looked hard enough into the restaurant demographic of each but I thought Quandoo had a good range of high to low places. That said, 4 or 5 places I wanted to book a team XMAS lunch (easy 2000 points. :) ) weren't there.

I only tried a few restaurants (all for various bookings this week and for next).

They were Ten Minutes By Tractor (ok, this is down on the Peninsula, but is reasonably well known), De Bortoli (Yarra Valley but not too far from the CBD), Super Ling in Carlton, and Tazio in Melb CBD (which was bookable on QANTAS restaurants).

is it me or the process of finding a restaurant close to your location is not great? I tried to search near me and puts me through other suburbs or throws me back to the main list which is not helpful.

I never leave my location on and will search for restaurants directly from what is listed by zooming into the map on the booking site...

I agree but I also find the fork has lost some of the cooler restaurants as well, a lot seem to be moving to their own platforms and not paying the two big providers commissions....

Quandoo has picked up some of the cool new restaurants in the inner north that have been rated highly by Broadsheet and Good Food like Rascal (Brunswick) and Rin Sura (Brunswick) both of which I’ve checked out and are very on point :) - will have to add to the Melbourne restaurants thread for those willing to get out of the tourist traps of Southbank and the CBD :)

Booking for 2 yesterday, ended up ordering just a beverage each and points already posted today...

I booked a roast duck restaurant in Box Hill on Wednesday and went and ate. Quandoo has asked me for a review which I wrote, but I haven't got any Quandoo points yet for the booking and the QANTAS points haven't yet posted (I realise it's only been two days). But does anybody know when Quandoo points would post? I have a feeling the roast duck restaurant didn't confirm the booking, because they would have some kind of fee to pay towards Quandoo. Or am I just being too cynical?

I've had a couple of Qantas Restaurants bookings since the platform changed to Quandoo. Qantas points were received within two to three business days both times. (Note that this is way, way quicker than Qantas points through a Dimmi-based platform used to be.)
I don't think I'd expect to get both Qantas and Quandoo points, though?
[edit: I mean "two three business days" after completing the booked meal.]

QANTAS points posted to my account last night.

Also got 25 Quandoo points for the review.

Do you normally receive something for the booking too? Like thefork........

What a useless platform. Wasted my time the other day trying to find a nice restaurant in Melbourne and all the half way interesting ones turned out to be either not available or not bookable or whatever (and it was still a couple of days out, not last minute or something) Super annoying compared to the old one.
