Qantas Linked bookings - shared baggage allowance?

Hi All

My wife and I are on separate, but linked bookings for our upcoming BNE-SYD-LHR flight. We linked via phone call to Qantas and seats together are sorted.

However, does anyone know whether they will allow us to spread the baggage allowance between us as they would if we were on same ticket? Both being silver, 42kg each, my 2 bags will go over (by about 8kg) but her single bag will stay under (by at least 12kg)

Yes, your luggage allowance will effectively be combined.
