I need to book an emergency one way CDG-SYD which may or may not be needed (and am happy to suffer through the high fare cost if travel ends up happening).

Qantas seems easy enough and offers a CDC-DXB-SYD QF8076/QF2 in the "flex" category for 1336 Euro.

Has anyone had any experience canceling these before? The conditions say "full refund" before departure (or a 300 Euro no show fee). Can this be done totally online and a refund issued back to the credit card or is there a bit more effort involved?
