Hey Guys

There seems to be a handful of QF First Lounge invites making the rounds on eBay at the moment. They're valid until december 2012, and I think a fair few of them were given out to affected Plats after the grounding occurred a while back.

I just picked one up for $56 + Free postage. I'm going to use it on my SYD-HKG flight i'm taking in August (which was only $399).

Seems like a pretty cheap way to experience the awesome F lounge at sydney or melbourne.

The way I see it, a 50 min massage, and a meal + drinks at rockpool would cost way more than $56! :DNormal terms and conditions apply, like you have to be taking a QF or JQ flight the same day, only valid once, etc.

I am not sure I would equate the F lounge food with Rockpool, and the spa etc is subject to availability, however enjoy the experience!

Well done fbrimfield, I've been looking at them, received a pass for myself from Qantas, now need one for the wife.
There's quite a few on Ebay, top price paid that I've seen was $153.99. One bloke tried to hock a couple for
$150 each, dreamin. Most are going for $80-$90 range.

It's weird that the First Lounge & Qantas Club passes are now being sold on Ebay, in the past they were removed
from sale, by Ebay/Qantas.

I've only seen them go up recently, so maybe Qantas have only recently been handing them out. If QF have removed them in the past, maybe it's good to get them before they're gone!

Since this thread started they have jumped from $60-$70 to one of them being over $100......hope they are real for those spending that amount of money!!!

Odd considering we offer the same experience here for free when members are happy to guest another AFF member in!

Not bad value if travelling with someone else but wouldn't spend it if traveling by myself.

Why would a plat want a Flounge voucher as we git it when traveling international

We did 2 F Lounges today for $101.17 even got a couple of flights thrown in for good measure :)

Yeah I wouldn't pay that much for them. Even if there's no availability at the spa, i'm still happy paying for it if it gets me a nice breakfast, coffee, and some good views.

Here's some history

But you WP guys are never flying when I am :( (or at least, not posting it in the travel threads!).

edit: hmmm for the ~$50 QP passes are going for I might just chuck mine up and use the profits to fund my "flight assistance" fee that I'll be putting up soon.

I thought they were given to Gold and Silver members as "sorry" but also a "teaser" for what they could get if they continued to fly, and fly more with Qantas.

It’s probably just the thing to be producing in limited quantities for members between Gold and Platinum level as an enticement for future travel and the rewards it brings.

We finally have a market based price on F Lounge benefits - approx $100 per visit per person.

This qualification year i have visited the F lounge a dozen times by myself and seven visit with others (wife and daughter). Assuming the market price for a child in a lounge is $50, and each domestic J Lounge visit is $50 per person, i have gained $6,950 in lounge benefits not including opups etc.... it's worthwhile being a WP.

I’ve always prided myself on being able to drink and eat about $250 worth each visit ;) :p
