I know the rules quite well in Australia but is it possible to use a Qantas Customer Care Voucher for bookings originating from Singapore or anywhere else for that matter? If so, how do we go about it?

Has anyone had any recent experience?

Are you talking about an Australian issued (AUD) voucher?

I believe it is possible to use them for flights originating in other countries, however if it is issued in AUD, you will only be able to use them for fares published for sale in Australia (ie booking made inside Australia). So I think the answer to your question is no.

My partner had $150 to use last year, and could only be redeemed by contacting QF travel centre (SIN call centre wouldn't have a bar of it). We tried to use them for a fare for me to travel SIN-BOM-SIN (Y). The fare quoted by QF travel centre in MEL was about $3000 AUD. I booked online for $498 SGD.

I thought as much. Would have been nice to put vouchere toward a QF airfare SIN-SYD return. If I remember correctly oneworldplus2 redeemed a voucher issued in AUD from the SIN office. Perhaps I am wrong.

I can always use it for SYD-BNE return but that does not feel good considering I purchase airfares these regularly.
