Qantas Club with CPX

Off to Hong Kong out of Cairns with CPX can the Q Club membership lounges be used?. Reason is. I will be doing at least 2 trips per year on this route so thought I might join Q Club.

The official answer is no, the paid Qantas Club card will only give you access when travelling on Qantas, British Airways, Jetstar or American Airlines.

You could always try though, but you will most likely be turned away.

Unless flying Business Class, or you're OneWorld Sapphire or OneWorld Emerald, I can't think of any other way to access the lounge before flying Cathay.
