Hi,

I'm looking at joining the Qantas Club (for the first time) and am flying out to London on an Emirates flight from Melbourne in Dec.

I'm wondering, if I'm a member of the Qantas Club can I access the lounge in Melbourne on this type of ticket?

I know I can access the Dubai business lounge during the stop over. We are also flying back from Paris so not sure what lounges I can use there (if any?)

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Depends on time.

Here is the quote on the QF site. Eligibility and Access to The Qantas Club Lounges | Qantas

Qantas Club members will continue to have access to Qantas operated International Business Lounges* and will be welcomed at the Emirates Business lounge in Dubai when their next onward flight that day is with Qantas or Emirates.

It is a pity that QF have got rid of the eligibility table off their site. Makes it so much easier to decipher compared to the current jungle of information.

As for access in LHR or CDG on an EK ticket, no luck there.

Your info is not correct, QP members have access to the AA lounge when on a EK flight at LHR, if you look at each lounge location the eligibility is VERY clear:

Lounge Locations | Europe | United Kingdom | London Heathrown Airport | Assosciated Lounges | American Airlines

Qantas Club Member
Next onward flight that day must be a Qantas^ or Emirates^ flight number.
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight

Really? My info is straight off the QF website. Funny that it makes no mention of it.

Like I said, it would be nice to have the eligibility table back instead of the jungle of information.

You might want to have another read of your link:

When travelling from London, Qantas Club members will have access to the American Airlines Admirals lounge at London Heathrow when the next onward flight that day is with Qantas or Emirates.

Got to say it does not get much clearer than that!

Teaches me to continue on reading until the bottom of the page:oops:

Saying that, I feel that the table condenses the info into a much more pleasant mess than what the page is currently...

I've just flown LHR-DXB, DXB-BNE, BNE-DXB and DXB-ABJ on Emirates metal and EK ticket.
I tried making sense of the requirements as a Qantas Gold member but Blue(no status) with Emirates but the only way I was allowed access to Emirates lounges was to credit my points to Qantas and have my QF F/Flyer number on the boarding pass.
I was travelling on a Seaman's/Marine type ticket if that makes any difference.

On a side note the company who hired me sent me home from Freetown (Sierra Leone)-Dakar(Senegal)-Brussels-LHR-DXB-SIN-BNE!
