Hi

I just had a couple of questions about qantas business direct reports. I signed up for them just over a month ago. And I was sort of expecting to get my first report about now. I got the email confirmation that I successfully signed up. I've purchased flights since signing up and have included my ABN on all of my existing bookings.

So when is the report normally emailed? At the start of the month, or just randomly?
What period of time/flights does the report cover? i.e. flights taken in the last month, purchased in the last month or some combination thereof, or perhaps for an earliet time period.

Just thought I'd get some guidance on what to expect before I give qantas a call.

cheers

Re: Qantas Buisness direct reports?

I generally get mine 18-25 days after end of month, so they're not too quick. Terribly useful though when the do eventually arrive :)

Re: Qantas Buisness direct reports?

No advantage, you just get reports to help track your travel spend. Useful when you have lots of staff travelling and want to keep track - although I mainly use it for myself.

Cheers, I'll wait patiently then. ;)

Hi, what are the advantages in signing up?

I have an ABN. Is there a minimum spend?

cheers

I don't think there is any minimum spend. I signed up mainly out of curiosity and I think that there is some extra detail in the cost breakdowns. I just did the self managed qantas business direct option. Some of the other business options seem to have a minimum spend requirement. Once your ABN is registered it has to be entered on each booking.

Re: Qantas Buisness direct reports?

No minimum for Direct, 150+ flights per annum to be eligible for Business Plus - designed for company travel managers, and you can book non-QF travel

Step up again to Qantas Business Travel (QBT) which is a corporate travel agent, and perhaps the illusive path to CL if you book a few million in travel spend ;)

I received one a few days ago. As others have said, handy to track how much you have spent per month over the past 12 months, and also gives a nice breakdown of what the actual flights were (and the PAX who flew it).

Email: Qantas Business Direct

Received and actioned this email:

As a valued Qantas Business Direct customer, we’re pleased to advise we will be making enhancements to Qantas Business Direct. One of these enhancements will include new functionality allowing you to store and update details of your regular Travellers on Alby's profile, making bookings on qantas.com easier and more convenient.

We are writing to you today to request you:
Confirm the company details we currently have on file are correct so we can notify you as soon as the enhancements to Qantas Business Direct become available, and

Register the details of your regular Travellers so we can add them to your company profile in advance of our enhancements going live.

As a special offer, complete the form before 30 June 2013, and your business can receive two domestic Qantas Club Complimentary Invitations.

I'll go and wait by the post box.

Any ideas of the enhancements?

Alby

Might want to remove your company name if you want to stay anonymous on here :)

Thanks. There I was carefully pasting it in via Notepad to remove the Qantas 'identifying' weblinks and forgot to look for the english language links!

Re: Email: Qantas Business Direct

I suspect they'll drip feed information as required.

Re: Email: Qantas Business Direct

Did they really use the word 'enhancement' 4 times in that e-mail? Have you interpreted these as being positives or negatives ;) ?

Just a quick one
is Qantas business direct still offering 10% discount on business tickets
just logged in trying to purchase Brisbane-Townsville
land no discount for the domestic QF flights I require

That offer was through Aquire, not sure if that is the same as business direct or not.

Update, found some flights discounted (not dates nor destinations I require)
so must not be across the board discounts
bit dissapointed

I've just signed up for Business direct and want to book a flight today, but it says "Qantas will contact you within 3 working days with your login details. In the meantime, just make sure you include your ABN with any bookings".
But the fine print of the current 15% off promotion states "All flights must be booked via Qantas Business Direct"

I'm wondering if people can remember how long it takes for them to send out the login details?Qantas Business Direct

It was a few days before I got them. The discount is only for the more expensive fares. Discount economy isn't discounted any more.
Or i think if you are booking a flight a dew days in advance it's discounted but I have never booked so close to departure

I finally took the plunge to get in before the 16th Dec deadline for discounts.

Scored a 10% discount on a Flexi CBR/BNE (but nothing on the outbound Saver BNE/CBR) for March. Will be a good start for my QF status earning year.

<RANT COMING>

Bloody Qantas Direct, you have a useless website for booking, actually I'll call it as being worse than VA's!!.

After a fail earlier in the year when trying to book PER/SYD/BNE, I thought they'd have fixed their problems by now - but no.

No matter which browser I used, which computer (laptop or iPad at work), which sign in (Business Direct or FF) or turning off ad-blocking and cookies, clearing caches and anything else I tried, I couldn't get past the 2nd screen (options). It wouldn't load the section showing the flights I had chosen on Page 1.

I chose not to call the QF Customer Service merry-go-around like I did last time and waste another hour. So I packed up and went home (this was two nights ago).

In complete apoplexy and needing a large glass of red to cease the invectives coming from my mouth, I checked whether my QF App could do it. Yes, flawlessly loaded each page! Bookings done (and 150% SC's offer taken up) in the same time as a normal booking. Looks like this is how I will do it from now on.

Don't even start me on your ticket prices, where Virgin left you for dead on a couple...but only the lure of 1.5 x SC's made the value barely back to the VA pricing.
