Hello all,
First time posting, apologies if I've broken any rules.
I just wanted to vent about the Qantas website and ask if this is normal/typical. I'm new to collecting points and have been trying to decide between pursuing Qantas or Virgin for point accumulation. Although Virgin don't have a calendar view I found searching it quite easy. With Qantas, although I've got a calendar view I have found it extremely buggy or misleading.
When I searched for direct flights to Dubai, it shows up a lot of business class reward seats for the month of Feb 2020 however when I click "continue" it simply refreshes the page and only works if I click on a first class available seat.
When I search instead for direct flights to say Paris as an example, it shows there are available business reward seats on almost every day, however on closer inspection it appears these are multi-city flights which involve a detour business flight to Melbourne then economy all the rest of the way, or economy for the longer flight from Sydney to Dubai. I tried get around this by looking up Sydney to Hong Kong then Hong Kong to Paris but I am getting the same problem. Is there no way to filter it by number of stops like almost every other airline website has?
I'm just getting downright infuriated with the website and I feel like it is almost intentionally difficult to use, but wanted to check that I'm not missing something.
Thanks in advance
