Hi All

Just a quick simple question. If I have redeemed an award ticket for the HKG-SYD flight with CX using QF points, and as its not a code share (I assume), would I check in at the CX counters in HKG or would I still have to front up at the QF counter for issue of boarding pass ?

Thanks

You always check in with the carrier whose equipment you are flying. So check in with Cathay.

(the same applies with codeshares too).

Did you phone to get the ticket? How many points did it cost ? Class? What was the availability like?

It was booked online thru QFF when there were a heap of CX seats made available.

There was a thread a week back or so that discussed this.

Apparently availabilty is good but it seems you now have to ring QFF to book an award seat on CX...and pay the 2500 points for doing so.

I think I was lucky being able to book a CX flight online.

regards
