Qantas $30 voucher accommodation

I have missed out on a few bookings. Maybe using them as I did renders you ineligible for future ones.

Modify your seat selection back and forth or select new seats. I did this to four bookings and got four ‘revised’ itineraries and 4 new emails containing the vouchers.

Maybe that's because mine was booked through a travel agent.

Jetstar and QF give out $25 (JQ) and $30 (QF) to book on their own hotel websites. You get these instantaneously after booking a flight in a seperate email

I’d say they are just burning their margin with the voucher to increase revenue. Just a marketing ploy really.

It works well on one night stays.

Seems you need to book via the site direct and from experience it’s about 50/50 if I get them.

I book almost all my QF flights directly on the QF website and have done so for a number of years and have never received a $30 hotel voucher. A couple of times this year I received an email encouraging me to book a hotel after receiving my e-ticket but there were no vouchers included.

The only time I ever received a $30 hotel voucher was for my birthday this year.

Same here. I have booked plenty of QF flights on the QF website over the years and have never received a hotel voucher. All email and marketing options in my profile are ticked.

It seems to be more JQ targeted.

I’ve done probably 30 JQ flights this year and going into my emails I got vouchers a minute after booking for 25 of them.

QF flew three times only got a voucher once

you can often get better deals on hotels by not using the $30 voucher. Considering the big boys apparently get 25% or more commission, there's a lot to play with. Think the $30 deal only works when looking at cheap hotel for 1 night, otherwise much better deals around.

You get the vouchers as well on your birthday month.

They do help depending on the city that you are using on.

I booked a Qantas and a Jetstar flight this week. Received an email about earning Qantas points on hotel bookings.

Haven't received the hotel vouchers with a flight booking for a long time.

Two weeks ago J booking to South Africa no voucher. Weekend booking to Perth red edeal Y and voucher received. Sorry OP, only lasts 72 hours so expired already

I think only QF knows the metric for giving out vouchers. Sometimes I receive them and other times I do not. I have received a few this month from both flights and a birthday.
