Hi all,

TL;DR The SEAJETS PowerJet ferry from Naxos to Heraklion (which normally operates via Santorini only) now travels from Naxos>Mykonos>Paros>Santorini>Heraklion making a (previously) 3.5 hour journey a SEVEN hour journey. This will be effective from 10/6 to 23/8. Book flights instead.

We were on the Seajets Power Jet from Naxos to Heraklion yesterday.
When we booked it months ago, it was supposed to leave Naxos at 14:15 and arrive at 17:45 in Heraklion - taking 3.5 hours.
We then received an email a few weeks ago saying the departure time was changing from 15:15 to 11:55 (screenshot)
This email did NOT say that the ferry would be taking an extra 3.5 hours as it was also stopping in Mykonos and Paros.
There was no other email or correspondence to confirm this new route. Nor new tickets for that matter.
We boarded the ferry, no screens or boards suggesting this new route as we approached either (at this point we would have been stuffed and would have gotten on anyway) and our original tickets scanned no issues.
We only realised that we had been sentenced to a 7 hour ferry ride once we stopped in Mykonos.
Had we have known that this ferry would take more than 7 hours in total we would have cancelled our ferry booking and booked flights instead.
I asked at the reception desk and as stated in the email this change is effective for this ferry from Naxos to Heraklion for 10/6 to 23/8.
It is a new departure time indeed. But the arrival time stays the same. They felt that’s all they needed to tell us.
Safe to say I’ve already asked for a full refund and luckily paid on credit card. I was laughing with my friends that if they don’t give me a refund I’ll threaten legal action as they technically kidnapped us! Took us somewhere we didn’t want to go without our consent! 😂😂
Anyway
Book flights instead! My head is still rocking from 7 hours of choppy waves! IMG_5774.png
