Process to move from Gold to Platinum - Velocity

So my last lot of flights have just posted in my Velocity account and I now have in excess of 1000 SC and enough eligible sectors to meet requirements of Platinum.

I'm just wondering what is the process now and how long will it take for my new status to register in my account? I've got a long haul flight in a few days and was wondering if my new status would be recognised by then?

If they posted today, you should be Platinum by tomorrow - the upgrading is done in an overnight batch

Yeah not too exciting so far, however the free YX is great for our family trips
