I recently made a booking from DUB - GLAS (Via Derry) with BA (operated by Loganair). Booking was in Euro Traveller / Domestic (same aircraft and class, one leg is international).

Somehow I booked it a day earlier than I meant to. I realised this within minutes of booking. I called BA Australia immediately (which sounded a lot like BA India) and told them what happened. After 20 minutes on hold I was told they would change it but they would need to put a request into HQ (Manchester). They told me to call back the next day to confirm.

I called back and they said they hadn't received a reply, and to call back Monday. So I did, and got the same respose. They said to call back Wednesday.

I asked them what was going on, and if I should call the BA UK number, she said it wouldn't help at all. She also then said she'd have to check the change fee to see how much it was going to cost to change it (earlier said they would change it for no charge).

I'm not sure what to do, keep waiting for them to sort it out, or just ring up the UK number. Am I likely to get more action and understanding calling them directly? I'm somewhat afraid of calling them and being told I can't change as it's not in the fare rules.

Any advice? I'm travelling WT+ to get to London and have a Club Europe flight from LGW to DUB. I don't think it's too much to ask to correct an error I spotted straight away, is it? They are already making a bit of money out of me.
