Good news that QR have made this move - absolutely no justification to charge what were once fuel levies when the price of aviation fuel is in the toilet.

But how can Qantas justify YQ charges on QF Award bookings flying on Qatar and who out of QF/QR gets this money?

e.g CDG-DOH $320 approx on top of 61K QFF points each way in First or Business (until last month that price was for a return, not a one way trip).

Same trip booked through AA - no YQ surcharge.
