Priority Club and United Airlines

Hi all,

Just found out that Priority club points have been credited to United Airlines program, yet not a member of United Airlines!

Been a member since 2003 and have stayed 20 nights in Australia this year.

What can I do with the points?

Not sure if identity fraud as they have american address as my home?

Better to try to get points credited back to Priority Club or keep in United Airlines?

Just to let people know for future reference:

3 phone calls to 3 different call centres around the world resulted in nothing, both United and PC.

2 emails to PC resulted in the second discovering they had thought I was A guy that lived in W.A and joined in 2003.

Anyway they say they have fixed the issue and issueing a new card.
No extra points mentioned for their stuff up though!

For future reference I suggest using the IC website for bookings, so that you can check your reservations referencing back to your PC number (its also on the registration card of each check in). The data you have provided does not make sense, as I cannot imagine PC chasing up points or missing numbers to ensure points are awarded from a stay that has a wrong number, and the only way a number could have got in any other way is for it to be on the original reservation by you or your agent.

More importantly, I am shuddering to think how much you have missed in terms of the promotions, its not hard to get an extra 100K of points a year from 20 stays, that is at worst case $500 of Coles Myer Vouchers or 20 nights at a pointsbreak hotel over the summer holidays. Thanks to the good work of others on this board and FT, I have had the benefit of both

PC issued the wrong card to me with the wrong membership number!
Card states member since 2003 but actually April 2008 joined.
They have issued new updated member number and sending new card!

Hopefully will receive promo's now!

Ahhh, how bizarre, they must really be cracking down on duplicate memberships, at least its sorted! There are some good promos coming up for the new year and the double points for 30 days etc is a real cracker so make sure you check often! have a great Xmas!
