Hi, I am actually quite new to this QFF programs. However, I recently managed to turn PS and will be travelling with Finnair SIN-HEL next month. As I am travelling with a NB friend on a separate booking, can we both use the business class check-in (as oneworld ruby) together or do we both have to queue at the normal check-in counter?

I believe that your status benefits also extend to those travelling with you (eg QF & VA will let you take a non-status pax with you through priority check-in and boarding).

Though you may be travelling on different PNRs, if you (the status pax) hand both itineraries over to the staff (along with your Ruby FF card), I really don't think you'll have any issues - as in doing so, you don't really give them a chance to say no (as opposed to "can we both check in here?"). :)

I've never flown Finnair but I've certainly done this many times checking in with Qantas and Cathay and never had any pushback from the check-in folks.

In theory it's a no. But in reality you would probably have to encounter a real nasty one.

okay, thank you for your replies. Just wanted to make sure, as it would have been a bit embarrassing if we had to queue twice.
