One of the benefits of travelling Qantas is the free downloads of newspapers and magazines to PressReader in the 12 hours before your flight.

Have just downloaded several camera magazines, The Monthly, Newsweek, Popular Mechanics and a few others including international newspapers.

I find them interesting to read especially if I can find newspapers from my destination.

So what are your favourites?

The Los Angeles Times and the Times of London in the past. Haven't done so for a while though so I'm unsure if they're still available.

Have just downloaded The Toronto Daily Star from April 1912, apparently the Titanic has sunk!

The Canadian section has some older newspapers. :)

It's been a bit hit and miss for me - some mags I've downloaded then get discontinued or are not available from a free download service. Still decent for a free service.

I tend to download travel mags, technology and sport. But the latter get out of date fast so I never end up reading all I download.

It is great for reading news from a city or country you are about to visit say for the first time.

It's a great value-add but I do wish they had more major Australian newspapers like SMH, Herald Sun, The Australian, The Age, etc.
