Hey guys just wondering if anyone has any experience with Qantas (747) and Air Canada (787-8) premium economy? I'm flying to Toronto from Brisbane so it really doesnt matter whether going via Vancouver or los angeles. I have flown Air New Zealand premium economy a couple of times and I liked it but have not tried QF or AC and would rather skip the Auckland stop this time.

Which airline does it best? I loved the spaceseat but I thought the 787 premium economy on air new zealand was meh.
Does anyone know if QF or AC premium economy have their own dedicated bathroom? Does the new NZ layout (no space seat) on the 777 still have it's own bathroom?

Cheers!

Personally I'd avoid the AC premium economy if I were you. Both soft and hard product are very ordinary.

The refurbished 773 for NZ does have a dedicated bathroom, similar to the older ones with the Spaceseat. I can't recall specifically, but am pretty sure both the QF 747 and A380 have a dedicated bathroom for premium economy passengers.

If it were down to straight offering between QF and NZ, my preference is NZ due to a better seat. The soft product on both is very good.

Great, thanks for the information AviationNZ!
I can believe that about AC, I've flown a bit with them both throughout Canada and North America in domestic and it was pretty average, and don't get me started on rouge. The only plus side in the this case for AC would be both sectors (to east coast and then to toronto) would be in premium economy with AC but lax to toronto would be economy with the others.
Cheers!

I've only used QF PE (both A380 and 747). It comes at premium cost for only a 38" seat pitch, particularly overnight with a recliner in front. Food and wines are adequate. The cabin doesn't share the toilet. I find that the 747 cabin (2-4-2) can look crowded when fully sold (A380 is 2-3-2).
36JK front row, would be the best choice if not blocked out
39AB last row, had extra useable storage space behind seat, for shoes, blankets, bags etc (after takeoff).
39JK assume the same.
34A could be good but 39B is to be avoided, facing the toilet.
QF have occassional PE Sale fares.

Great info blu! Thanks for that. They have a companion sale on at the moment but maybe once that ends they will have a normal sale.
Cheers
