Premium Economy cheaper than Economy

Booking a trip from SIN to SYD at the end of the team 3 NSW school holidays in early October, PE was approx 1268 SGD whereas the cheapest Economy was 100 dollars more. SQ Premium economy cheaper also than BA and QF economy on the dates I needed to travel. Both planes will be A380s, where the PE area looked very empty.

I suspect this is an introductory offer, and won't continue, but search while you can as normal PE seems to be 2400 SGD.

If flying PE SYD-AMS would it give access to any lounges?

PE does not get you into a lounge.

PE should have started now on the SIN-SYD route if any poster has had an experience of it.

No lounge unless you are appropriate Star Alliance level (Gold)

Thanks for the info on lounges. Has anyone any knowledge of the Priority Pass lounge in SIN and if it is a shared lounge?

Any thoughts on taking a room if on a longish layover?
