Looking at heading to SFO early April from CNS to SFO. Ideally PE class wondering if there is a smart way of doing the route as CNS is a pain even though it is international AP it does really seem to cater for the USA. Everything is via SYd, BNS etc and most seem to want to route you through LAX to SFO...PITA.

Anyone have any suggestion how to get to SFO a nicer way from CNS?

Any deals going at the moment PE that anyone knows about on that route?

Thanks and regards,

Fleetz

AFAIK your only option is UA out of SYD maybe?

Don't know if DL does direct SYD-SFO..??

Otherwise yes -CNS-SYD-LAX-SFO is your option. I'm doing this myself in a couple of weeks.

You could substitute BNE or MEL for SYD if you prefer.

Otherwise fly to NRT and then direct to SFO from there.

Try AirNZ. Only 1 stopover each way and dummy booking is bringing it up as ~3.5k.

Alternatively from CNS you could use JQ Business to Tokyo then JAL have PE on the flight direct from NRT-SFO.

For creative routing (although not PE) UA/CO kindly offered a Cairns-Guam-Honolulu-SFO tour of the Pacific ;-)

The Air NZ PE to LAX was pretty good a year ago; I'm not sure if the 'new' PE that we tried has been rolled out to the SFO route yet or not... Beware also, on routes with no PE (like CNS-AKL) you may be caught out. We had a PE booking LAX-AKL-PER but there's no PE AKL-PER (which we knew - bought for the LAX sector); we got greeted by the CSM and given noisecancelling headphones from J, and had bulkhead seats, but that's all. I have no idea what they do with the trans-tasman fare options if you book it all as one "PE" fare - maybe someone else here will have more of an idea?

I would hope you would get the PE seats on the a320 (works deluxe) since CNS - AKL is part of the seats to suit routes.
