Ok, I have just bought cheapie tix to NZ in Oct.

BNE - SYD - CHC / ZQN - CHC - SYD - BNE

I have my fingers crossed that Qantas will still operate this route in Oct and not bump me onto Deathstar.

Anyway, I have QF WP and I was wondering if there was anyway to pre-select my SYD-CHC/CHC-SYD seats.

I cant see anyway of doing this on the Qantas website but have seen in other discussions on WP's being able to pre-select their seats.

Never have had the need to do this in past as usually in J but this is just a cheap visit.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just call QF and request a seat. As a WP they might be able to request an exit row for you.

Thanks Simongr.

Now I am really having a dumb moment... what is that free website that shows available seats??

checkmytrip.com will show you the seat you have been allocated on your flight as well as the vacant seats on that trip. Just enter your Amadeus reservation number and your surname and you will be good to go.

As noted by others, you have to call QF Reservations to request the seat allocation, or have your travel agent request it for you via their GDS. There is no way to request a specific seat on-line with Qantas. The closet they come to that is On-Line Check-in 24 hours before scheduled departure. As Hvr says, you can see which seat you have been allocated on either CheckmyTrip.com or user the My Bookings part of QF FF web site.
