I'm a newbie here but post regularly on other forums with topics that interest me. I notice that you keep threads open for posting for very long periods of time. I see some have been open since 2006 and 2007. May I suggest that you close-off threads after last-post frequency drops below, say, a month?

Threads do now auto-close after a certain amount of inactivity, there’s an announcement somewhere to that effect, but a month of inactivity is a very short time to wait to kill a thread, considering such things as accident investigations can take months to years for things to sort themselves out. And recently a few have been brought back, as it’s the same topic, no matter how long you wait for an answer ;)

Basically, a month seems a little low…

OK great. Four years seemed a little long. Just saying.
