Decided to book a business J class reward from Sydney to Brisbane via CBR before the June expiring of the temporary offer to earn status credits. Interesting thing is went through the booking no problem then on the confirmation page it comes up with Cabin Class: Any Seat Economy, so I get onto the phone with Virgin and after 10 minutes of no answer I check my e-mails and the tickets come in with Business so I try login in again, and viewing my booking which is still a pain double logins and it says Cabin Class: Business Cabin.

Anyway now I've hung up as there was no answer but hoping this stays as business cabin for obvious reasons, two E90's which I've never been on is one of my second reasons would like to try the aircraft.

Anyone else had this same problem with business class bookings on Virgin?

I'm not 100% sure of what you are saying, did it only deduct economy points, or did it deduct the J Class reward points?

Hi, I booked flights today with my points and the same thing happened, showed any seat economy, and on the E ticket came through with Business class seats (which had my seats booked row 2a & c). So all okay.

It deducted the J class reward points, the confirmation page shows Cabin Class as Any Seat Economy, however the ticket then comes through with Business Cabin.

Only problem I have now is can't work out how to select seats but maybe Embraer you can't pre-select seats? Haven't flown Virgin in a while.

I had the exact same problem for two bookings - class shows up as "Any Seat Economy" on the confirmation page, but e-ticket says Business.

Also, flying the exact same leg on the E90 and it told me seat selection wasn't available. Apparently you can call and be allocated seats, but I haven't done that yet.

I had the same thing a while ago on a long haul J reward (VA code shares on Etihad flights)... Momentarily very concerning!

I have had it happen twice now, can't select seats but no big deal to me in J. Was fine both times and status credits posted in 24hrs as J flight :)

Yep, think it's a Sabre thing. Never had a problem with the actual ticket/flight/SCs though

Had this same thing happen which made me think I done something wrong.Checked emails and all was ok.
I now prefer E90 front row as the offset of the seats blocks the isle making it more private from the back of the plane.Plus the space between the isle seats is wider than the 737 plus 3 seats instead of 4 giving the impression it is larger than it is. I used to avoid them but not anymore.

Hi Astro,
We are aware of this issue and can assure you the team are working to rectify it ASAP. We will report back once it's been fixed. The emailed itinerary should be displaying the correct fare type booked.
Sorry for the confusion.
