I'm canvassing info regarding portable printers for laptops which will print up to A4 size. I would only need one for docs - not picture quality.
Dimensions and weight are the obvious primary considerations but I'd appreciate comments as to whether AFFers have found them practical for OS travel, what brands/models are recommended (if any), reliability etc.

For OS travel the power supply needed will be a consideration

Does canon still make those travel inkjets? Used to use them 5 years or so ago and they were really good for their size, and I especially liked the 50 sheet feeder.

*edit*
The old monochrome only one I used to use seems to be superceeded by a colour and B/W one : http://www.canon.com.au/For-You/Printers/PIXMA-InkJet-Printers/iP100

While international voltages are covered (and you can get one with a battery), the ink life doesn't look overly great.
Dimensions are: 322 x 185 x 61.7mm , (2kg)

HP, Canon and Brother all make a compact printer for travel use. Not sure about other companies.
The HP Officejet100 also can run on batteries and weighs 2.5kgs, bluetooth wireless, 22 pages per min. Online price around $300

Thanks for the replies. FYI the Brother PJ663-K seems the best fit so far - much smaller than the Canon iP100 at 255 x 55 x 30mm and .47Kg but it's got some limitations.
Would be interested in the views of anyone who has one of these.

I might be buying a Canon ip100i printer today. Need a small travel printer, and the cost of getting printouts done for what I need will be about 10% of the cost anyway :D

Don't want anything larger. Will go well with my portable scanner, and the rest of my "office" equipment.

Couldn't find a ip100 in stock at the electronic places I visited - so have delayed purchase. Seriously considering importing from the U.S to the U.K...
$US170.20 vs 180 pounds! (even after shipping I'd be ahead depending on local taxes)
