Ben Sandilands in an article this weekend about the Boeing 787-9 obtusely adds this final paragraph:

The scuttlebutt around the traps is that Qantas will unveil a ‘big surprise’ after the federal election. A good one, let’s hope.

I can't see what a Federal Election would have to do with Qantas and its fleet decisions, if this is what BS is hinting at. ('BS' is probably an appropriate pair of initials for him!)
