Points upgrade from Flexi - Status Points

Hi Guys, Hopefully you can enlighten me. Have a flexi flight booked from OOL to Melbourne in Oct.. Looking to use some Vel Points to upgrade to prem economy or business (what ever is the next level). My question is what level status points do i get with this if i upgrade??? Do i stay at the full fare level or move up into the Premium economy??

The next class up is business. You should get SCs for the fare paid I.e. flexi...however it's not completely unknown for people to be credited as business for some reason - just don't expect that.

Technically you should earn status credits as per the fare you originally booked
