I've noticed a few threads reflecting on Velocity's poor handling of points crediting from partner airlines, I've been disappointed to note that this also extends to Blue Holidays packages. . .

Took a trip to Melbourne in Feb and booked hotel and airfare at an extremely good price and 5 points per $ offered.

To date no points credited and been told by 3 operators it was being looked into, last operator I spoke with today said it would 12 weeks from date of claim submission:!: I don't understand how one department speaking to another takes 3 months:?:

Same operator said he would credit 500 points for the flights today which is good even though they are not eligible as the points are paid on the total booking not the flight sectors, oh well:!:

Virgins point systems seems to be a bit of a mess doesn't it.

An update to this - I have another Blue Holidays booking... it's not even linked to my Velocity Number (which I entered during booking). This is very frustrating as it seems I will not receive any points for this one either.

At this point I'm pretty much done with Velocity I think, SQ seems to be the best destination for my Amex MR points.

A final note on this, pleased to note the points turn up in my account 2 weeks ago. A subsequent booking also posted within 10 days so it appears the system issues may be being worked out.

Thanks to RickyRiccardo, the AFF Velocity Lurker for contacting me to confirm:)
