So my current points club balance is 348992 and I have 45 days remaining.
I will comfortably hit points club plus tomorrow when my credit card statement hits.

However, I have just received credits on another card for cancelled flights - will they take the points off for this refund. Also it was a Qantas premier card so I got bonus points for Qantas spend - is this reversed ?

This could put me back under the 350,000 qualifying mark, will they revoke my membership?

I plan on cancelling this card before the next statement end - just waiting on them to transfer the credit balance (can’t transfer to bank account, can only send a cheque to registered address)

I don’t see too much benefit for me on points club plus - I only fly once a year at most and usually try and redeem points for a business flight so Qantas club is no value.

I don’t chase status as I don’t fly enough,
but I do have 95credits at the moment that would be nice to rollover.

Which brings me to my next question, I have a business class award flight Syd-PER booked for Saturday 29th August - my anniversary is 31 Aug - will status for this flight be in the current year or next?
If it’s in the next year along with the return and if the 95 are rolled over - that will put me pretty close to silver.

Anyway, It’s looking more and more likely that this trip won’t happen as WA is not letting anyone in, and I am not confident this will change in the next 6 weeks. :(

Thanks o wise ones!

Solution
@Battymum If the points have already credited to QFF than they have credited. I double any negative post will occur.

As for the flight - SC's credit for the day of scheduled departure, even if they don't credit for a few days afterwards. So status will be credited for the current year.

Status credits are credited against the year the flight took place, even if it takes a few days (or longer sometimes) for them to be processed. So in this case they will count towards the current year rather than next.

When I had a QF refund come through recently, Qantas Money did claw back the extra QF bonus points (1 point per dollar) associated with that spend.

They did not claw back the 20,000 sign-on bonus points earned for that month, which I was only eligible for due to that spend.

Guess I have answered my own question - this is a screen shot of my last statement.
I had a short flight refunded - then spent the refund money.

What happens if the card is closed before the next statement. ?

Guess I should just try and earn 5000 points this month to cover myself.

In the screenshot I posted above, the points were clawed back when the final statement was generated, i.e. after I requested the account closure.

I'd kept the card open while waiting for the QF refund to land.

Could someone help me understand the rollover concept for points club plus member?
Let's say I am WP, and I end the year with 1260. I would requalify WP. Would I then start the next year with 60, or with 100? Thanks for the clarification.

Rollovers normally work on the excess- if that is the case then 60 is the answer.

I have received the refund, been waiting 9weeks for it, and the only reason I have kept the card open.
Contrary to popular and incorrect belief, you don't need to have the card account open to receive a refund.
I've had this happen with more than one bank, both with and without having other accounts open at the time.
I've even had two different responses from the same bank for refunds to the closed account. One was a cheque in the mail, the other was a letter asking me to contact a branch to process the refund.

Indeed, I have encountered similar with previously closed CC accounts.

Hello All

I have a question regarding the Points Club and Point Club Plus.

I'm currently very close to achieving Points Club Plus (need an extra case of wine or three to get there). My anniversary is 31 March and I have Points Club benefits until 31 March 2023.

Question is, if I do manage to get to Points Club Plus before my upcoming anniversary (31 March 2022), do I get to rollover 100 status credits I have currently into the next year? Or do I get to rollover any status credits accumulated from 1 Apr 2022 - 31 Mar 2023 period into the Mar 2024 period?

Hope it makes sense, thank you!

Yes

No, you would need to requalify for Points Club Plus by earning 350k QFF points during 1 Apr 22 - 31 Mar 23 in order to rollover another 100 SC on 1 Apr 23.
