Platinum Renewal

Has anyone received their VA Plat renewal cards yet?
I know that with QF I usually get mine 3-4 weeks before re-set. Do Velocity have a similar timeframe?

DJ status unlike QF has a period of 4 weeks after end date before benefits end, I would expect renewal cards to arrive during that time, as my Gold one did last year (followed by a Platinum one a week later thanks to the match).

Not yet for me. My card expires very very soon too. Fortunately, I have no non-VA travel coming up, so it'll be fine (I re-qualified months ago).

I'm sure this question has been asked elsewhere but . . .

When you are elevated to/reach a higher status level within your membership year, do you get the whole new raft of benefits as well? For example, if I go from Gold to Platinum, do I get the four complimentary upgrades and the choice of top tier hotel and car hire loyalty memberships? Does the answer change if I've already activated one of those benefits (eg. when Gold I choose Gold with Hilton; do I get to choose Diamond with Hilton when I hit Platinum)?

YES, Even if you have already activated HH membership as a gold and then qualify for Platinum, when you go to My Benefits page in Velocity after reaching Platinum and click on the 'Complimentary Partner membership: IHG Priority Club® Rewards or Hilton HHonors™' a screen pops up which asks you to select your preferred program HH or IHG and for which you want Diamond Elite status for the following 6 months.

I know this as I was gold VA with Gold HH complimentary membership and I just achieved VA Platnium last week and when I followed as stated above I found I was able to select HH diamond membership.
I'm holding off taking up the complimentary Diamond HH program until later this year as I'm travelling to USA at end of December so want to take advantage of the 6 month membership (if I join now the 6 months will expire before I get there - unless I stay 4 nights within 1st 6 months which enables another 6 months diamond HH membership.

Fantastic, thanks. The dedicated thread on HHonors Gold/Diamond for Velocity Gold/Platinum has information about whether the four in six is being enforced. Last time I read the thread, it wasn't.
